Recent success for Elitesquash

The last two Months have seen some great results from juniors and seniors involved in the elitesquash programs. Bristol based superstar Mohamed el Shorbagy has moved up to number 5 in the world while Karina Tyma our homegrown under 13 champion recived her first call up to play for England in the 5 nations taking place this weekend in Fance. She also reached the final of the English championships beating the currrent England number 2 in the semi finals.

Last week saw an exiting mix of international players at the Bristol tennis and squash club; early in the week Marwan el Shorbagy had some last minute preparations before his trip to Kuwait followed by the arrival of Nadia Usenko, Illya Presman and Pavlo Shumylo from Ukraine (pictured). The three juniors spent 4 days preparaing for the Welsh junuior open and Nadia went on to win the U15 girls  event! World 21 WSA players Aisling Blake arrived arrived mid week for two days of movement tuning before her Irish National championships which she went on to win, ending a 14 year run from World 11 Madeline Perry.

The Friday elite junior groups were then joind by Top under 19 French junior Lea Van Der Zwalmen and Her Brother Bastien. The whole family will move to Bristol in the summer and Brother and sister will join the elite junior squads and further strengthen the scene for young players in Bristol.
